This article is an abstract from the Korean version of "pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Policies in sweden"(2007) translated and published by the joint OECD/Korea Regional Centre on Health and Social policy(Currently OECD Korea Policy Centre) with approval of OECD. The original paper can be accessed on the OECD website(

The main objective of this article is to describe and analyse Sweden’s pharmaceutical reimbursement and pricing policies in terms of containment of pharmacutical expenditure, efficiency, availability, accessbility, quality of care and health outcomes, and satisfaction.
